Our Objectives
Disputes and conflicts are all too common everywhere. In relation to matrimonial disputes, the unresolved conflict may have a significant negative impact for example straining or the relationship of married couples which could lead to their separation or divorce.
Our objectives are therefore centred on:
- To help married couples better understand the Marriage Covenant. The Challenges of Parenting – Child Disciplining, Long term Relationships and the pain to relevant parties when they seek separation and or divorce.
- To lobby all relevant parties towards Conflict Resolution by counselling couples with the focus on being good caring parents. Children have a fundamental need of love from both parents to become valuable members of society.
- To create publicity and awareness on Conciliation & Mediation to resolve marital disputes. Otherwise, the lives of couples fall in the hands of selfish parties (or unscrupulous lawyers) who would rather encourage a dissolution of marriage (discourage peaceful resolutions) with the sole purpose of financial gains, rewards or favours.
- To be an Early Intervention Centre where disputing couples can seek help to resolve their disputes through MEDIATION.
- To create awareness by having Talks/Forums on the importance of Child Welfare in the event of dissolution of marriage.
- To Network with governmental bodies and agencies on Family related issues that bring about positive impact to our community and the future.
- To present Memorandum and make constructive suggestions on parental issues to the Judiciary, Bar Council and Legislature and the National Integrity Council to formulate policies on the family.
- To lobby for a Judicial System which provides a “HUMAN FACE” in Family Courts where decision made have devastating life long implications.
- To lobby Parliament to amend the Law Reform Marriage & Divorce Act 1976
